ABOUT ME

Anne-Katrin Liebe

Sports Scientist M.Sc (Sp)
International Equestrian Coach Level 2

I was born in a picturesque town called Potsdam located in East Germany 1979. I trained gymnastics from the age of four and went on to study Sports Science to become a Master Sports Scientist completing my studies successfully with the thesis Horse Riding – an opportunity for childhood development. Throughout many years of horse riding and coaching with the German Equestrian Sports Federation I made steady progress and became an International Equestrian Level 2 Coach.

I operate my own businesses, the International Boutique Riding School and now Shine Bright Equine Human Services and have been self-employed for over 10 years. In doing so, I am very lucky to be able to turn my passion for horses and helping people into my profession. I love my small farm with my German Riding Ponies and Kelpie cross Border Collie, where I sometimes get a bit bogged down.

In the course of time, I have taken part in various courses and seminars on the topics of coaching, personality development, counselling and working freely with horses focusing on behaviour and communication (the basis of horsemanship).

I am passionate and curious about continuous development. I am fascinated by the multitude of possibilities to lead my life actively and positively. Apart from that, I have been influenced above all by my own experiences, which I have been able to gather in 15 years of dealing with people and horses.
Speaking of experiences: I am grateful for every single one of them because they have made me the person I am. This includes my great confidence in life and my strong will, which let me overcome limits.

Values such as freedom, honesty, meaningfulness and joy are particularly important to me and I feel very comfortable in nature – for all these reasons I love working with people and horses.

What I don’t like at all is the superficiality and mass thinking in our society. I can’t stand it at all when people are belittled or held down. There is much more to everyone than they think. So many people would be much happier in their lives if they allowed themselves to be influenced less negatively by their environment – I am convinced of that and that is also the direction I take in my sessions and individual coaching.
